Andrew Karl
Andrew Karl graduated from Notre Dame in 2008 as an honors math major and completed his Ph.D. in statistics from Arizona State in 2012. Through consulting and teaching short courses as a subcontractor with Adsurgo LLC, Dr. Karl has had the opportunity to work with pharmaceutical, military, technology, manufacturing, and government customers in a broad spectrum of areas including text mining, forecasting, data mining, experimental design, and process control. He has also remained active in academics, contracting on a National Science Foundation grant, serving as a journal referee, and publishing peer-reviewed articles on computation of non-nested multivariate generalized linear mixed models, parallel random number generation, value-added models for teacher evaluation, text mining, and football rankings.
