**Numerical Algebraic Geometry and its Applications**

Numerical algebraic geometry methods have been proven immensely helpful in solving many long-standing nonlinear problems arising from different areas of Science, Engineering and Pure Mathematics. Notably, the applied mathematics group at the department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics has been one of the pioneers in developing the methods. To make the talk self-contained, I will start by describing the framework and then will explain the applications I have been recently working on.
