Research
Faculty and students in the Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics (ACMS) collaborate on research projects ranging from blood tests for colon cancer and modeling bruising to numerical algorithms for real algebraic computations. This research is enhanced by state of the art computational facilities and the CRC and the Center for Network and Data Science research centers.
In addition, ACMS offers research fellowships for graduate and undergraduate students.
Research Areas
Solving the complex problems the world currently faces requires deep knowledge of each problem’s nature and numerous tools, perspectives, and expertise.
Computational Facilities
ACMS has priority access to the Center for Research Computing cluster, as well as access to other computational resources.
Center for Research Computing
The Center for Research Computing facilitates multidisciplinary discoveries through advanced computation, software engineering, data analysis, and other digital research tools.
