ACMS Colloquium: Rafael Nepomechie, University of Miami

Rafael Nepomechie is a theoretical physicist specializing in elementary particles and fields. He received his PhD from the University of Chicago, and he held postdoctoral research positions at Brandeis University and the University of Washington before coming to the University of Miami, where he is now a professor. He has authored or co-authored over 100 scientific articles, and he has lectured at universities and research institutes on six continents. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (U.K.), a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Physics A, and he is a recipient of the Provost’s Award for Scholarly Productivity and a Cooper Fellowship. He recently received Fulbright Specialist grants to teach at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) centers in South Africa and in Tanzania
