Joe Celentano
Chief Risk Officer, Pacific Life

Mr. Celentano was named Chief Risk Officer in 2012 and serves as senior vice president, Enterprise Risk Management. In this role Mr. Celentano oversees the company’s risk appetite across all business lines and is responsible for identifying, assessing and prioritizing risks across the organization and chairs the Finance and Risk Management Committee. He also oversees the development of economic capital measures. Mr. Celentano joined Pacific Life in 1992 as assistant vice president, Product Management, in the Institutional Products Division. In 1999, he was promoted to vice president, Structured Products, and was named senior vice president, Product Management, for the Investment Management Division in 2006. Prior to joining Pacific Life, Mr. Celentano held positions at Travelers Insurance Company and CIGNA in Hartford, CT. Mr. Celentano also has served as an adjunct professor at the University of California, Irvine in the areas of accounting and investments.
