America leads the world in health care expenditures, but falls behind on many measures of health outcomes. Underlying flaws in the system are not always apparent, but the COVID-19 pandemic brought some of the more pervasive inequities into sunlight as front page news.
What can be done to improve the situation?
To explore these topics, we will engage three experts in U.S. healthcare and health equity to share their perspectives on why our current system is not working for all Americans, and what can be done to improve outcomes for those falling behind. Our experts bring diverse perspectives to this issue sharing their wisdom from various perspectives: economics, physician/medical care provider, and a health care financing/actuarial perspective.
